Wedding Reception Details
Place Cards:
Our families love wine, and we wanted to bring that into our wedding. Since Sean and I got engaged, our parents and his sisters (us as well!) have been saving the REAL cork wine corks. We will be using them for our place card holders, whcih will look similar to:
Table Numbers:
We have two ideas we are torn between for our table "numbers":
1) Using sayings like "Eat, Drink and be Married", "Fat & Happy", etc...
2) Using faux dictionary definitions of words that are love related, ie:
Adore: A-dore; To regard with deep, often rapturous love.
v.a·dored, a·dor·ing, a·dores.
Thankfully, it's one thing that can wait a bit to be decided!
Misc:
One thing we will be doing is asking all of our married couples attending our wedding to send us a picture from their wedding. We are then scanning them onto our digital frame and displaying it next to our guestbook for all to see. We wanted a way to bring in our family and friends to our wedding more than just having them there.
Favors:
Since Sean and I have each lost 2 grandparents to cancer, and my uncle also died from cancer a few years ago, we have decided to make a donation to the American Cancer Association. We have had small cards drawn up that state our donation, and the names of the family members we are remembering with it. These cards will be attached to cookies that we are baking.
